Before the Lok Sabha elections, the Congress in Rajasthan has suffered a significant blow. Senior leader and MLA Mahendrajeet Singh Malviya has resigned from the Congress party.

A four-time MLA, Mahendrajeet Singh Malviya has now joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), abandoning the Congress.

In the presence of BJP's National General Secretary Arun Singh and State President CP Joshi, Mahendrajeet Singh Malviya has officially joined the BJP.

Mahendrajeet Singh Malviya Joins BJP Ahead of Amit Shah's Rajasthan Visit

Home Minister Amit Shah is coming to Rajasthan on February 20th. The decision of Mahendrajeet Singh Malviya to join the BJP before Shah's visit to Rajasthan is being seen as a strategic move by the ruling party.

After joining the BJP, Mahendrajeet Singh Malviya said that he was taken to Delhi one day earlier by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma.

Upon reaching Delhi, we met with Amit Shah and BJP President JP Nadda. He further stated that after the meeting with Amit Shah and JP Nadda, he decided to join the BJP.

Mahendrajeet also added that he has been influenced by the development works being carried out under the leadership of PM Modi's government and hence decided to join the BJP.

Referring to a program organized for the consecration of Lord Ram's idol at Ram Temple, he also criticized his former party, Congress.

Mahendrajeet Singh Malviya stated that the Congress rejected the invitation to the event related to the consecration of Lord Ram's idol in Ayodhya, causing him deep distress.

Who is Mahendrajeet Singh Malviya?

Mahendrajeet Singh Malviya is a four-time legislator. He served as a minister in the previous government under the leadership of Ashok Gehlot.

Mahendrajeet began his political journey through student politics with the All India Students' Federation. He transitioned from being a village head to a Member of Parliament and then a legislator.

In the general elections of 1998, Mahendrajeet was elected to the Lok Sabha on a BJP ticket. Later, he joined the Congress party.
