South Africa Vs India: After the ODI World Cup 2023, India and South Africa will meet again in an International game. India won that league match of that ICC mega event of the fifty overs format.
But tomorrow’s game is in a different format and the captains are also different from both the teams.
Suryakumar Yadav will be the skipper of the men in blue side in the three match T20I series which starts from tomorrow and Aiden Markram will lead the Proteas side in the limited overs format series.
This series of the shortest format will be played with an one eye on the T20 World Cup 2024 in West Indies and United States of America.

India will go into this three-match series of the shortest format with a lot of confidence after they won the series of the shortest format against Australia which was played after the ODI World Cup 2023. Suryakumar Yadav won his maiden series recently as the skipper of India’s T20I side.
India will look to replicate the same performance in this series against the Proteas as well. The batting will be tested yet again as some of the Indian batters will be playing in South Africa for the very first time.
The hosts, South Africa also have an excellent bowling unit and they have bowlers who will trouble the Indian batters.
That is why the starting six overs, which are also called as the powerplay overs are important for both sides in this series and that too with bat and ball.
Ravindra Jadeja has been added to the side and he will be the vice-captain of this T20I series for India. His addition will be India the extra bowling option and the batting depth as well.
But will India drop Ravi Bishnoi? Who did well in the T20I series against the Aussies? Bishnoi is the number one bowler in the latest T20I rankings.
Axar Patel and Washington Sundar are also in the frame of selection. Axar has done well in the home conditions. However it is needed to be seen whether he can replicate that performance in overseas conditions as well.
Mukesh Kumar and Arshdeep Singh are becoming quality fast bowlers for India and they will be improved with more game time. These two fast bowlers are good with the new ball and backend overs.
Mohammed Siraj also walks in this T20I side for the first two matches at least. But another question that India will have to answer is if they can play two spin bowlers or not.
The pitch and the conditions in South Africa suit the fast bowlers the most and that is why it would be interesting to see which two spin bowlers India will choose.
India has a lot of selection headaches and from that, they need to find a perfect 11 for the first T20 International game.
South Africa on the other hand will want to do well with the T20 World Cup 2024 is approaching. The Proteas have a good team which can put up a fight in the shortest format and they might know how talented this Indian team is due of the Indian Premier League. Markram will want to make a winning start in this series.
SA will want their batters to find their groove straightaway in this series. David Miller will be the player to watch out for in this first match.
Miller scored an outstanding ton in his last international match which he played in the semi-final 2 against Australia and that too in testing conditions.
Lungi Ngidi is a quality fast bowler from the Proteas Nation and he is a great asset to have in the team. Ngidi will lead this pace bowling attack of the home side, South Africa, in the absence of Kagiso Rabada. Lungisani will be the bowler to watch out for from the Proteas side.
