IND Vs AUS 3rd ODI Match: Under Steve Smith, Australia has appeared as a formidable team.

They ended the tour of India in 2023 by winning the final one-day international match at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai yesterday, Wednesday, 22nd March 2023.

The way Australia played the first two Test matches it looked like they would have a tough time in India.

However, their fortunes changed when Steve Smith took over the captaincy from Pat Cummins.

Steve Smith not only won the 3rd Test match of the Border Gavaskar Trophy in Indore, but he drew the last red ball game in Ahmedabad and also won the three-match one-day international series and that too after Australia lost the 1st ODI in Mumbai.

The visitors were brilliant in Chennai, especially with the ball in hand. The spinners were excellent and so as the lower and middle-order batters of the Aussie team.

While India was in the run chase of 270 runs at one point. But because of the collapse of India’s middle-order batsmen, the men in blue side were all out for just 248 runs and lost the series by 21 runs.

Today, in this segment, we have listed out the five best performers of the 3rd and final match of this one-day international series.

Only two Indian players have been included in this list mainly because the other Indian players didn’t step up and that is why the home side lost the series by a margin of 2-1.
