IND Vs AFG: After a successful tour of South Africa, the Men in Blue will lock horns in a three match series of the shortest format against Afghanistan.
India didn’t lose any series on their tour of the Proteas Nation. They won the ODI series by the margin of 2-1 under the leadership of KL Rahul.
India also drew the three-match T20I series and two-match series of the red ball format. The amazing thing which was seen in these two series of the shortest and longest format was that the Men in Blue had fought back brilliantly after losing the matches.
Now India will face the Afghans in a three-match series starting in three days. This series will be the last one for both the teams before they play the T20 World Cup 2024 in West Indies and United States of America (USA).
India is scheduled to play against Pakistan on 9th June 2024 in New York in that ICC mega event of the shortest format.

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will be back in the shortest format and Rohit is the skipper of this team for the three-match series against The Afghans. Both Virat and Rohit had played their last T20 International match in the T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia which India lost against England in the semi final encounter played at the Adelaide Oval.
Sanju Samson and Jitesh Sharma are included in this three-match series of the shortest format. Arshdeep Singh, Mukesh Kumar and Avesh Khan are the three pace bowling options alongside, Axar Patel, Ravi Bishnoi, Washington Sundar and Kuldeep Yadav are the spinners named for this T20I series.
Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav have been ruled out because of their injuries. At the same time, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Ishan Kishan and Ravindra Jadeja have not been picked for this three-match series of the shortest format.

Rashid Khan, the spin magician of Afghanistan might miss this three-match T20I series because of his back injury. If that happens then that would be a big blow for them.
