But still Hashim Amla had scored two centuries in the Indian Premier League and both the tons came in a single season of this T20 tournament. Amla is still the only player from South Africa to achieve this milestone in his IPL career.

In the IPL season of 2017, Hashim Amla smashed 104 against Mumbai Indians and the same score of 104 runs against the team of Gujarat Lions as well. Amla played for the Kings XI Punjab team, which is now known as Punjab Kings.

That century was the first and only for Quinny as of now, which also helped LSG to put up 210 runs as an opening stand and that is the highest opening partnership of this T20 event.
