The TADA court has ordered the Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chief Yasin Malik to be produced. Yasin Malik, in-charge of Delhi's Tihar Jail, will have to appear in Tada Court on 11 September. The court had ordered Malik to appear during the previous hearing, but the CBI had expressed his inability to produce him on Thursday citing lack of time.

The TADA court of Jammu and Kashmir is hearing the Case of the Kidnapping of Rubia Syed, the daughter of former Chief Minister of the state and the then Home Minister Mufti Mohammed Syed, and the killing of five Air Force officers. According to the CBI's challan in the Rubia Syed kidnapping case, a report was filed on December 8, 1989 at the Sadar police station in Srinagar.

According to the report, Rubia was traveling from Syed Mini Bus to Laldad Hospital Srinagar at her house in Naugam. Meanwhile, some unknown gunmen kidnapped her. After completing the investigation, the CBI presented a challan against the accused on 18 September 1990 in the TADA court in Jammu.

According to the CBI's second challan, at around 7.30 am on January 25, 1990, the Airforce officers on rent at Rawalpora were standing at the Sanat Nagar crossing. During this time, the terrorists had fired on them indiscriminately. Around 49 Airforce officers, including a woman, were seriously injured. Two officers died on the spot, while three others later succumbed. After completing the investigation, the CBI had submitted a challan against Yasin Malik and others in Tada Court Jammu.
