Situation Like Sri Lanka in Iraq: Due to political instability and economic crisis in neighbouring Sri Lanka, there is a lot of resentment among the people there.

The general public of Sri Lanka took to the streets against the government and occupied the Rashtrapati Bhavan and the PM's residence.

On the other hand, a situation like Sri Lanka is now visible in Iraq. There are also fierce demonstrations in Iraq.

After the PM's warning, the protesters started coming out of the Parliament House. Earlier, the police used water cannons to disperse the protesters, but still many people broke in.

In the elections held in October 2021, al-Sadr's faction won 73 seats. Al-Sadr became the largest bloc in the election, but talks of a new government have stalled since the vote.
