Now after 12th, there will be an opportunity to become a teacher directly. National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has opened the doors of Uttarakhand for the recognition of its Integrated Teacher Education Program (ITEP). Although the doors of BEd's recognition are still closed.

NCTE has started the four-year integrated Teacher Education Program (ITEP) from this year. These courses will get admission directly after 12th. The degree obtained after doing the course will be considered equivalent to BEd. This course will be able to run by private universities and colleges along with government universities and colleges.

In Uttarakhand, there is a ban on the new recognition of BEd from 2015. Because of this, no new B.Ed. college is open for four years, but the colleges already running will be able to run this new course.

For the recognition of this course, the colleges will have to apply from June 3 to July 31. This recognition session will be for 2020-21. The course will be started from next year. There will be two courses. The first course will be to teach from pre-primary to primary level.

The second course will be for higher education from upper primary to secondary level. NCCE member secretary Sanjay Awasthi has issued instructions to all the concerned states to implement the process of recognition.
