Nirbhaya Case: New Death Warrant Issued by Delhi Court, Rapists will be Hanged on Feb 1

The Patiala House Court of Delhi has issued a new death warrant in the Nirbhaya case. According to the new death warrant, the four convicts will be hanged at 6 am on February 1. Earlier, death warrant was scheduled on January 22 by the Patiala House Court for the four convicts in the Nirbhaya case. Mukesh Kumar, one of the four convicts, had filed a mercy petition with the President, which was dismissed on Friday. Even after the mercy petition is dismissed, 14 days notice is given for hanging. In this way, the last way to avoid hanging for Mukesh Singh has also closed and now he is sure to be hanged.

At the same time, after President rejected the mercy petition, now the file has been sent to the Delhi government. Along with sending Mukesh's mercy petition to the President, the recommendation of the Home Ministry was also rejected.

Earlier, it was sent to Lt. Governor Anil Baijal, appealing the Delhi government to dismiss the petition. It is to be known that Mukesh Singh had given mercy petition to Tihar Jail Administration. The petition came to the President through the Tihar administration, then the Delhi Government, then the Lieutenant Governor and then the Union Home Ministry.
