Accused Snatched Weapons and Fired: Hyderabad Encounter

All four accused of rape and murder of a female doctor in Hyderabad were killed by the Telangana police in an encounter on Friday morning. The police told the full story of the said encounter in their press conference later that afternoon. Police said that she had gone to the victim's spot to find the victim's phone. Meanwhile, some of the accused attacked two policemen and took away their weapons. The accused opened fire on the police and tried to escape. After this, all the accused were killed in retaliation by the police.

At the place where the accused were confronted by the Telangana police, Cyberabad CP Commissioner VC Sajjanar held a press conference. He said that the police had gone to the victim's phone to find the victim's phone. While the police were investigating, the two accused attacked two policemen and snatched away their pistols. The other two also pelted stones at the policemen and fled. The police team warned the accused and asked them to surrender but they opened fire on them. After this, policemen also fired on them, in which all the accused were killed.

VC Sajjanar also told that the encounter took place between 05.45 to 06.15 am. The three accused were around 20 years old while the fourth was 26 years old. Weapons seized from the possession of the accused have been recovered. The bodies of the accused have been sent to the local government hospital for postmortem. 10 policemen were present at the scene during the encounter. An SI and a constable were injured in the encounter. One of these is seriously injured. DNA test is also being done on the bodies of the accused. Sajjanar said that scientific evidence has been collected from the murders.
