This is a problem in which phlegm begins to build up in the lungs.
In a conversation with the media, the lang specialist of Rajkot Neeraj Mehta said that this problem also occurs on normal days, but the matter of concern is that this problem is engulfing the corona patients. All the patients in Rajkot's civil hospital, all were corona positive. Every day 2-3 such patients are coming here.
Neeraj Mehta explains that this disease is not as dangerous as the black fungus, but it is necessary that the treatment is started in time. Aspergillus is a lung-related problem, in which phlegm starts to form in the lungs, and blood starts coming in with the phlegm.
This causes the patient to have trouble in breathing. However, the good thing is that it is treated with Horiconazole tablets only. The price of this tablet ranges from 700 to 800 rupees. Patients are given two doses of it daily. Its treatment lasts for 21 days.
According to Dr. Neeraj Mehta, this problem is seen mostly in those patients who have recovered from corona about 20-30 days ago. At present, more than 100 patients are admitted to the civil hospital itself. At the same time, many people are also getting treatment in private hospitals. Therefore, the number of such patients can be more than 300 in Rajkot itself.
Aspergillus has symptoms similar to pneumonia. These include fever, colds, phlegm freezing, and bleeding with phlegm. The resistance of Aspergillus rapidly declines. That is, Corona patients need to be more cautious about this.
The white fungus has two forms. Candida and Aspergillus. Candida is dangerous. This can cause skin infections, mouth sores, chest infections, and ulcers. Whereas, Aspergillus infection affects the lungs, windpipe, and cornea. It also carries the risk of blindness.
