Pakistan Government: "Jadhav has refused to file a review petition against his sentence"

In the Kulbhushan Jadhav case Pakistan has introduced a new maneuver. The government of Pakistan filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court to give Jadhav a consular access. The petition stated that Jadhav cannot advocate without the help of the Indian government. It also said that Jadhav has refused to file a review petition against his sentence.

Recently, there was news of the Indian government talking to Pakistan about the consular access of retired naval officer Kulbhushan Jadhav who is lodged in a Pakistani jail. Sources quoted as saying that India has once again asked Pakistan to give counselor access in the case of Kulbhushan Jadhav without any hindrance.

India has been saying that on the issue of Jadhav, Pakistan's continuously putting dust in the eyes of the world. It is not following the instructions of the international court at all. During the second consular access, Jadhav was not allowed to sign the petition through fear, pressure and harassment.

"Kulbhushan Jadhav had rejected the offer to file a review petition"- Pakistan' Foreign Ministry

Let us tell you that there has been a demand of India that two officials of India should be allowed to meet Jadhav. The language of the conversation should not be fixed in English and the lawyer can also be from outside of Pakistan. The Pakistan Foreign Ministry had claimed last week that Kulbhushan Jadhav had rejected the offer to file a review petition and wanted to insist on his mercy petition.
