Construction of Delhi to Mumbai Expressway to be Completed in Three Years: Nitin Gadkari

Union Surface Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari on Friday said that the construction of Delhi to Mumbai Expressway will be completed within the next 3 years in any case. He said that 1 million saplings will be planted on the corridor.

Nitin Gadkari said that the expressway will pass through backward areas of 5 states of the country. This will save about 16 thousand crores.

The Union Minister said that an effort will be made to convert it into an electric highway later. Projects worth Rs 55000 crore are underway to free Delhi from traffic pressure. Union Minister of State VK Singh and Transport Secretary Sanjeev Ranjan were also present on the occasion in Nitin Gadkari's press conference.
