Assembly Election 2021: Sonia Gandhi Met Congress Leaders At Delhi Party Office

Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi took a meeting of party general secretaries, in-charges of states, and presidents of state Congress committees on Tuesday. In the meeting held at the Congress headquarters in Delhi, Sonia taught the party leaders about discipline and unity.

Told Sonia in clear words that leaders should keep in mind that their personal ambitions should not affect the strength of the party. So right now the message of Congress is not reaching the grassroot workers. So I have realized that there is no coordination among the state leaders on policy matters and their views on it are not clear.

Propaganda to start saving democracy and the Constitution

Sonia said that party workers should recognize and oppose lies and propaganda to start saving democracy and the Constitution. However, this is the ideology of Congress. So the interim president of Congress said that the fight against the evils of the government will have to be doubled. If we have to win this battle, then their lies have to be brought before the people.

Decided in the meeting that the Congress would run a membership drive

Apart from Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi, Lok Sabha MPs Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury and Navjot Singh Sidhu also attended this meeting of Sonia. It was also decided in the meeting that the Congress would run a membership drive from November 1, which would continue till March 31 next year.
