Vodafone Idea has its own on-demand video application 'Vodafone Play'. Now its content will be found through a mobile website. The telecom operator has launched Vodafone Play Mobile website for its subscribers. Through this, subscribers will be able to access on-demand video content from the mobile Internet browser. This means that customers will no longer need to download the app.

In Vodafone Play, OTT content and live TV channels are offered through the app and website. Vodafone Content Library, like the rest of the telecom operators, offers Bollywood, Hollywood, Regional and International Originals as well as movies, TV shows, live TV, web series and so on.

Along with this, aggregated content of popular apps like ZEE5, SonyLIV, ALT Balaji, Shemaroo Me, Sun NXT, Eros Now, Hungama, HOOQ and Hoichoi are also available here. This app is currently available for Vodafone subscribers on Android 4.1 or above and iOS 7.0 or above devices. However this service is not offered for free by Vodafone.

On the other hand, bundled content is offered by Jio for all unlimited plans. This includes apps like JioTV app for Live TV and JioCinema for on-demand content.

More than 300 live TV channels are available in Vodafone Play app. To receive the play service, subscribers have to type the PLAY keyword at 199. After this, customers will get a link through SMS / WAP push. Which will direct them to Google App or Apple App Store to download the app.
