PM Narendra Modi Followers Crosses 50 Million on Twitter

To remain active on Social media, PM Narendra Modi appeals to his colleagues to remain active. They say that if steps are not taken in the Era of technology, we will be left behind. In this episode, @narendramodi on Twitter handle, their number of followers has crossed 50 million.

US President Donald Trump's followers on Twitter number 64 million. But former US President Barack Obama remains on top with 108 million followers. If we talk about Indian politicians, no leader stops in front of PM Modi on social media. If you talk about the official Twitter handle of PM Modi, the number of followers there is more than 30 million.

In 2009, when Narendra Modi was the CM of Gujarat, he came on Twitter and his popularity increased in 2014 when he became the Prime Minister of India. Since then, his popularity has increased year after year. A survey was conducted in relation to popularity last year. In that survey, PM Modi had joined three popular leaders of the world. The survey was conducted in about 50 countries in which PM Modi, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin, former British PM Theresa May were among the participants.

About social media, PM Modi says on almost all the forums that this is a medium through which we can understand the feelings of common people. There is no administrative hurdle in this. In this regard, she had mentioned the former External Affairs Minister, late Sushma Swaraj, that during her time only through Twitter she had helped countless people about whom she could not get information from any other administrative channel. In today's changing times, this medium is playing an important role in bringing the government and common people closer to each other.
