MG Motor India Launches SUV Hector with Prices Starting Rs 12.18 lakh

 MG Hector India launched its first vehicle in the Indian market SUV MG Hector priced between Rs 12.18 and Rs 16.88 lakh (ex-showroom, India). 

The country's first internet-enable SUV MG Hector will take on the likes of Hyundai Creta, Tata Harrier, Mahindra XUV500 and Jeep Compass. 

The MG Hector comes strapped with 1.5 litre petrol and 2 litre diesel engines. The company also has hybrid technology available in petrol. 

MG Motor India President and Managing Director Rajeev  Chaba said, "We are enthused by the response to the vehicle. We have received around 10,000 bookings since June 4 without customers even knowing the price." 

The company claimed it offers best-in-segment cost of ownership, five years free warranty and roadside assistance with the vehicle. MG Motor India also has on offer annual maintenance packages starting at Rs 8000 for the MG Hector. 

MG Motor India has set up 120 touch points across the country, which will be more than doubled to 250 centres by September 2019.
