A five-match T20 International series will take place between West Indies and South Africa from 26th June. The host West Indies has announced the squad for the first two matches of this series on Friday. Many veteran players have been recalled to the squad and the team led by Kieron Pollard looks very strong.

All-rounder Andre Russell and explosive opener Chris Gayle have also been included in the squad for the first two matches of the T20I series against South Africa. Looking at the bowling department, the team doesn't have that much experience but with Dwayne Bravo, Kieron Pollard and Andre Russell, the team combination looks good. A 13-man squad has been announced for the first two matches of the series, with wicket-keeper batsman Nicholas Pooran appointed as the vice-captain.

South Africa clean-sweep West Indies in Test series:

Let us tell you that Andre Russell played the last T20 International match for the West Indies team in March 2020. On the other hand, Chris Gayle will likely announce retirement from international cricket after the T20 World Cup 2021. However, he believes that he would love to play as long as he feels he can play.

West Indies team is as follows:

Kieron Pollard (captain), Nicholas Pooran (vice-captain), Fabian Allen. Dwayne Bravo, Fidel Edwards, Andre Fletcher, Chris Gayle Jason Holder, Evin Lewis, Obed McCoy, Andre Russell, Lendl Simmons, Kevin Sinclair.
