Former captain of Indian cricket team Anil Kumble wants Shreyas Iyer to bat at the very important position i.e. number 4 in ODI series against West Indies. At the same time, he also said that this series will be very challenging for Indian bowlers. The first ODI match between the two countries will be played in Chennai on Sunday. Kumble said that India's strong bowling attack will face the strong batting line-up of the West Indies.

Kumble said that the bowlers of Team India will have to do their best against the strong batting order of the Caribbean team. He said that due to the absence of Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul got an opportunity to start as an opener. Talking to Star Sports, he said that we have seen the ability of Shreyas Iyer and I consider him the best batsman for number four. West Indies lost 1-2 in the three-match T20 series against India and after that the three-match ODI series will now begin in Chennai from Sunday.

Anil Kumble said that there is no dearth of power hitters in the West Indies team and it will be a big challenge for the Indian bowlers. The wicket here is excellent for batting, so bowlers need to perform their best. Anil Kumble took 619 wickets in 132 Tests for India, while a total of 337 wickets in 271 ODIs. According to Kumble, the series is going to be between the Indian bowlers versus the West Indies batsmen. Team India won the T20 series against the West Indies team. This will be the effort of the Indian team to maintain their winning streak during the ODI series against the West Indies. Both teams have reached Chennai for the first ODI match.
