Rohit Sharma Escapes Injury During Practice Match Ahead of Semi-Final against England

Rohit Sharma Injury: India captain Rohit Sharma injured his arm during an optional practice session here on Tuesday i.e. November 08, raising concerns ahead of India's T20 World Cup semi-final against England.

Rohit was doing the normal drill of the practice. He was facing the team's throwdown specialist S Raghu at the Adelaide Oval when a short-pitch ball jumped quickly and hit his right arm.

The Indian captain missed an attempt to play a pull shot and the ball hit his hand quickly. It was clear that he was in a lot of pain and he immediately left the practice session.

Rohit Sharma Injury: Big ice pack was tied to his right arm

He had a large ice pack tied in his right hand. Rohit looked very upset when he was watching the practice session from a distance. During this, mental adaptation coach Paddy Upton spoke to him.

After applying the ice pack and taking some rest, Rohit resumed practice but the throwdown specialist was instructed not to bowl too fast and, in the meantime, the Indian captain played mostly defensive shots to see if his hand movement is correct or not.

It could not be ascertained how serious the injury was. The Indian medical team will assess his injury post the practice session. India will take on England on Thursday in the second semi-final. The first semi-final between Pakistan and New Zealand will be played in Sydney on Wednesday.
