IND Vs AUS 4th Test Match Review: India has entered to their second back-to-back final of the World Test Championship (WTC) after the men in blue side won the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2023.

New Zealand also had a thrilling win in the first Test match at Hagley Oval in Christchurch against Sri Lanka yesterday. The Kiwis won that Test match by just two wickets.

The fourth and final Test match of the BGT 2023 series wasn’t a normal one as the first three red ball matches were played.

The pitch at Ahmedabad was a batting paradise and both teams scored a lot of runs. Australia won the toss and batted first.

The visitors piled up 480 runs in their 1st innings while India also batted well and scored 571 runs.

The bowlers from both teams didn’t have a great Test match because of the flat wicket at Shri Narendra Modi Stadium.

India didn’t get a chance of batting again after both teams decided to end this Test match as a draw.

Today let us look at the top five performers of the fourth Test match which was played in Ahmedabad.

1. Virat Kohli

India's King Kohli

The King is back amongst the runs in the red ball format. Virat Kohli scored a Test century after a gap of three long years and the form which Kohli showed in this series is a good sign before the WTC Final in 2023 starts.

King Kohli smashed 186 runs in the lone innings which the home side batted. It was a delightful knock from the former Indian skipper in the fourth test match.

2. Usman Khawaja

Usman Khawaja, Aussie opener

The Aussie opener came good in the 1st innings of the fourth Test match. Khawaja had shown his good form in the previous matches of the BGT 2023 series as well.

In Ahmedabad, Usman Khawaja smashed a ton and played magnificently to score 180 runs in the first innings.

His knock ensured that Australia pile up a good score of 480 runs when they batted first on that flat deck.

3. Shubman Gill

India's Shubman Gill

The Prince too had a good Test match. Shubman was in good form earlier as well.

After he failed to score big in the third Test match at Indore which India lost, Gill smashed 128 runs in Ahmedabad to keep India in the game.

He scored his second Test hundred of his red ball career with many more to come.

4. Cameron Green

Cameron Green, fast bowling all-rounder from Australia

The fast bowling all-rounder from Australia had smashed his maiden Test hundred in the fourth Test match which was played in Ahmedabad.

Green scored 114 runs in the first innings and also shared a mammoth partnership with Usman Khawaja which had frustrated the Indian bowlers.

Cameron couldn’t pick up any wickets with the ball. But his contribution with the bat was a brilliant one.

5. Ravichandran Ashwin

India's Ravichandran Ashwin

The number one bowler in the latest ICC Test rankings, Ravichandran Ashwin was the only bowler to pick up a six-wicket haul in the fourth Test match.

Even though Ash failed to contribute with the bat in the last Test match but his six wickets allowed India to restrict Australia to under five hundred runs.

Ash was jointly awarded the man of the series award with Ravindra Jadeja. Ashwin picked up 25 wickets in this BGT 2023 series.
