Mining in the Brij region should be stopped immediately- Sant Samaj

Saints protesting over illegal mining at Brij 84 Kos.

Let us tell you that in the Pasopa area of Bharatpur, Rajasthan, sadhus and saints are agitating to stop illegal mining in the Brij area. There is a demand of saints that mining in the Brij region should be stopped immediately.

The Sant Samaj has been on a dharna for more than one and a half years regarding this. It is alleged that under the pressure of Minister Zahida Khan and her son Sajid in the Rajasthan government, the local administration has given free rein, due to which mining is not being stopped.

It is alleged that 10 months ago the Chief Minister of the state Ashok Gehlot had also agreed to include both the mountain areas in the forest area.

Regarding this, the then District Collector had prepared a proposal and sent it to the government. It is alleged that due to the connivance of local MLA Zahida Khan, police and administrative officials and mining businessmen, the area could not be declared a forest area.
