Sant Vijay Das Death: The politics of Rajasthan has heated up after the self-immolation of Sant Vijay Das demanding to stop illegal mining.
State BJP in-charge Arun Singh and members of the committee reached Pasopa village of Bharatpur district this afternoon to inquire about the incident.
The committee met the saints and local people and inquired about the whole matter.
After this, the committee reached Aadi Badri temple and there also talked about illegal mining and expressed displeasure.
At five o'clock in the evening, the members of the committee will reach the Maan Mandir of Barsana in Mathura district of UP and will pay floral tributes to the late saint Vijay Das. After this the report will be submitted to JP Nadda in Delhi.
The BJP committee includes the National General Secretary and state in-charge Arun Singh along with Sikar MP Swami Sumedhanand Saraswati, former Union Minister and MP Satya Pal Singh, former Director General of Police of Uttar Pradesh and MP Brij Lal Yadav. State BJP in-charge Arun Singh and committee members reached there at around 12.30 pm today i.e. on July 24.
Sant Vijay Das was a native of Badhwana village in Haryana's Bhiwani. Baba Vijay Das became a saint of Maan Mandir, Barsana in the year 2022. Prior to this he was a designer expert in a garment factory in Faridabad.
His son and daughter-in-law were killed in an accident, after which he started living with his granddaughter Durga in Maan Mandir, Barsana.
Baba Vijay Das, who set himself on fire against illegal mining, breathed his last at Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi on Saturday i.e. on July 23 morning at around 2:30 am.
