Rajasthan: RPSC Paper Leak Case Mastermind Sher Singh Meena Arrested From Odisha
RPSC Paper Leak Case: The Special Operations Group (SOG) in Rajasthan has achieved a major breakthrough in the senior teacher recruitment exam paper leak case by apprehending the absconding mastermind, Vice Principal Sher Singh Meena.
Meena had been declared a fugitive, and the police had offered a reward of one lakh rupees for information leading to his capture. He was finally apprehended in Odisha by the SOG.
He is a resident of Chomu in Jaipur and works in a government school in Abu Road.
Meena is accused of selling paper to Bhupendra Saran for a whopping one crore rupees.
The police's success in capturing Meena is a significant milestone in their efforts to bring justice to the candidates affected by this scam.
According to ADG Ashok Rathore, the Special Operations Group (SOG) became involved in the Senior Teacher Competitive Examination 2022 paper leak case after a case was registered at Bakaria police station in Udaipur district.
RPSC Paper Leak Case: Possibility of major revelations after arrest of Sher Singh
In the paper leak case, the police had announced a reward of Rs 1-1 lakh for the absconding accused Suresh Dhaka and Anil alias Sher Singh Meena.
Bhupendra Saran, one of the accused in the case, was arrested by SOG earlier. During interrogation, he revealed that he had purchased the paper from Sher Singh Meena.
The paper was then sold to Suresh Dhaka, who, with the assistance of his brother-in-law Suresh Vishnoi, sold it to candidates for Rs.5 lakh each.
Sher Singh Meena's arrest is expected to reveal crucial information about the case, including the source of the senior teacher recruitment paper. The involvement of several influential individuals may come to light as well.
RPSC Paper Leak Case: Candidates were caught solving paper on the bus
Notably, last year in Udaipur district's Bakeria police station area, candidates were found solving exam papers on a bus prior to the scheduled exam.
The bus was carrying candidates from Jalore and Udaipur who were seen solving papers before the exam.
Upon receiving this information, the police apprehended the bus and as a result, RPSC cancelled the exam due to the paper leak.
