After an extensive discussion, our internal evaluation reveals that we secured 136 seats in Karnataka, and we are expecting to win 150 seats in Madhya Pradesh.

Rahul Gandhi, speaking to reporters after the meeting, stated that the strategies and actions employed by the party in Karnataka will be replicated in Madhya Pradesh for the upcoming elections.

In a meeting chaired by Rahul Gandhi and attended by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, top party leaders from Madhya Pradesh emphasized the significance of unity within the party.

Kamal nath also responded to the statement

Present during the meeting were Kamal Nath, the former chief minister, and Madhya Pradesh Congress chief, along with P Aggarwal, the AICC in-charge, among other attendees.

While providing details of the meeting, Aggarwal expressed that there was a unanimous consensus among all participants that all leaders should contest the elections collectively, fostering unity within the party to ensure victory in the state.

Nath stated, "During our discussions, we deliberated on the party's strategy and the key issues on which we should contest the upcoming polls. The unanimous opinion among all participants is that we will collectively and unitedly enter the electoral battle."

Highlighting the significant timeframe of over four months remaining until the polls, he emphasized the importance of the meeting, which saw the presence of all senior leaders.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan asserted that BJP will secure over 200 seats

Nath stated, "We have already implemented some initiatives, and there will be further announcements in the future. It is important to pace ourselves strategically and not exhaust all our resources at once."

In response to Rahul's statement, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan asserted that the BJP is poised to secure over 200 seats in Madhya Pradesh. He further remarked, "If they [Congress] want to indulge in wishful thinking, they can continue to do so."

Following their electoral success in Karnataka, the Congress party is now aiming to make a comeback in Madhya Pradesh. The upcoming elections in the central state will witness voting in 230 constituencies later this year.

This election holds significance as it marks the first electoral event since Jyotiraditya Scindia orchestrated a coup that resulted in the downfall of the Kamal Nath-led government in Madhya Pradesh, ultimately leading to the BJP assuming power in the state.
