The launch of the satellite was repeatedly postponed owing to the Coronavirus in the country, but ISRO has now set a date for its launch. The EOS-4/RISAT-1A is actually a microwave remote sensing satellite. Although, along with the satellite, two more satellites are being launched into space: INSPIREsat-1, developed by students at the Indian Institute of Science and Technology, and INS-2B, an Indo-Bhutan joint satellite.

The launch of the satellite was confirmed by ISRO on Twitter.

It's official now!! PSLVC52, the EOS-04 Radar Imaging Satellite, and two other tiny spacecraft are scheduled to orbit the Sun 529 kilometres away on February 14th at 5:59 a.m
ISRO penned

The radar imaging satellite RISAT-1A is primarily used for surveillance. Satellites are launched at a height of 529 kilometres above the planet in this manner.
