Delhi Excise Policy Case: Former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia's troubles seem far from over.

Following the CBI's investigation into the liquor policy matter, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) requested an extension of Sisodia's custody.

The Rouse Avenue Court has now ruled in favour of the ED and decided to extend Sisodia's remand by 5 more days.

Sisodia has already been in ED custody for the past 7 days. The ED had made serious allegations against Sisodia and had requested a 7-day extension of his remand.

AAP MP Sanjay Singh lashes out at ED's treatment of Sisodia

Sisodia's legal representative has alleged that in the name of questioning, the agency only makes Sisodia sit here and there.

Despite being in custody for 7 days, Sisodia has only been questioned for 11 hours. AAP MP Sanjay Singh has also claimed that the ED's remand of Sisodia is baseless and that he is being treated worse than a terrorist.

In response to Sisodia's lawyer's claim, the ED stated that Manish Sisodia is being interrogated under the surveillance of CCTV cameras.

Delhi Excise Policy Case: Sisodia allowed to sign checks for family's expenses

While in court, Sisodia was granted permission to sign checks for household expenses.

He signed two checks for Rs. 40,000 and Rs. 45,000, respectively, after receiving the court's approval.
