Punjab Police Nabs 2 for Helping Fugitive Amritpal Singh, NIA Arrests Lawyer for Social Media Post

Amritpal Singh Case: The chief of Waris Punjab De, Amritpal Singh, has been evading authorities for the past 29 days, Also, there were talks of his surrender during Baisakhi, but nothing happened.

In the meantime, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has apprehended a lawyer from Kapurthala, while the Punjab Police has arrested two of Amritpal Singh's associates from Hoshiarpur. Interrogations of all three individuals are currently underway.

Two associates of Amritpal Singh from Hoshiarpur were arrested by the police after obtaining information that they had provided financial assistance to him.

According to reports, the two associates from Hoshiarpur had provided Amritpal Singh with 90 thousand rupees to help him secure a safe location.

During their arrest, two pistols were also seized from them by the police. The investigation is still ongoing, and due to its sensitive nature, no official has shared any information about

Amritpal Singh Case: Lawyer Detained for suspicious social media post

The NIA has detained Kapurthala lawyer Rajdeep Singh, who was reportedly returning from Paonta Sahib in Himachal when the NIA team apprehended him.

Sources indicate that the detention was triggered by a post made by Rajdeep Singh on his social media account regarding Amritpal Singh. The NIA deemed the post to be suspicious and subsequently took action.

Last week, Papalpreet Singh, who is a close associate of Amritpal Singh, was also apprehended and charged under the National Security Act (NSA).

Following his arrest in Amritsar, he was taken to the high-security Dibrugarh Jail in Assam.
