Amritpal Singh Case: On Monday i.e. March 27, Nepalese authorities put Amritpal Singh, a fugitive radical preacher, on their watch list amid suspicions that he may be hiding inside the country.

Following a request from the Indian embassy, Nepal's immigration department added Singh to a watch list to prevent him from fleeing to a third country with the help of an Indian or fake passport.

According to Kamal Prasad Pandey, information officer at the Department of Immigration, the Indian embassy provided a written note and a copy of Singh's passport, raising concerns that he had entered Nepal and was in hiding.
