Delhi: Hearing on Bail Plea of Accused of Urinating in Air India Flight Today

The bail plea of Shankar Mishra, accused of misbehaving with an elderly woman on an Air India flight is to be heard today i.e. Jan 11.

The incident happened in the business class cabin of the New York-Delhi flight on November 26.

Shankar Mishra was completely drunk when he apparently urinated on a 72-year-old woman.

Shankar, who was absconding since the incident, was arrested by the Delhi Police from Bengaluru. After this, he was produced in the court, where three days ago i.e. on Jan 07, he was sent to judicial custody for 14 days.

The Delhi court said that the mobile of accused Shankar Mishra was traced and his location was found in Bengaluru.

A Delhi Police official said that during the investigation, the accused was constantly changing his statements and was trying to mislead the investigating officer.

Hearing on the bail plea will be held today

The lawyers of the accused Shankar Mishra have filed a bail application in the Patiala House Court. Today this petition will be heard.

Earlier, Delhi Police had demanded 3 days custody of the accused for interrogation during the hearing in the court, which was refused by the judge.

Accused Shankar Mishra was sent to judicial custody for 14 days by Delhi's Patiala House Court. Now the bail plea of the accused will be heard in this case today.

Delhi Police arrested from Bengaluru

On January 4, the Delhi Police registered a case on the complaint of an elderly woman and started the investigation.

The phone of the accused was switched off and on January 3, his last location was found in Bengaluru.

Here he stayed at his sister's house. Police arrested from Bengaluru.
