Arrested in Mexico, Gangster Deepak Boxer Brought to India

Today, i.e. on April 05, Notorious Gangster Deepak Boxer has been brought to Delhi by the Delhi Police. Upon his arrival at the airport, he was directly taken to the Special Cell office in Janakpuri.

Special Commissioner of Police HGS Dhariwal and Additional Commissioner of Police Pramod Kushwaha were present at the airport to oversee his transfer to the office.

As per police officials, a team of six members, led by IFSO DCP Prashant Gautam, travelled to Mexico for the operation.

While three members stayed in Turkey, the other three went to Mexico to carry out the mission.

Additionally, officials from the US intelligence agency FBI have accompanied Deepak to Delhi.

Deepak was on the run in several cases

According to the sources, Deepak Boxer has been kept in the Special Cell's office under heavy security. He will be produced in the court later this afternoon and taken on police remand.

Boxer was on the run in several cases, including the murder of a builder in Delhi's Civil Lines area.

After arriving in Delhi, Dhaliwal expressed that it was a significant achievement that a criminal had been brought back from a location like Mexico through coordinated efforts for the first time.

It is said that Deepak Boxer, one of the country's top-10 gangsters, who was caught by the Delhi Police with the help of the US agency Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Interpol from Mexico's Cancun port, was in the process of fleeing to America.

Security agencies say that if he had reached America, it would be difficult to bring him back. Deepak had reached Mexico via agents (human traffickers) passing through five countries.
