This serves as a testament to the country's growing prowess in the field of manufacturing.
Just eight years ago, India was primarily known for importing goods. However, today the country has established itself as a major exporter of a variety of platforms, including the Dornier 228, 155mm Advanced Towed Artillery Guns (ATAG), BrahMos Missiles, Akash Missile Systems, Mine Protected Vehicles, Armored Vehicles etc.
India is even exporting PINAKA rockets and launchers, ammunition, thermal imagers, body armour etc.
The global demand for LCA-Tejas, Light Combat Helicopters, Aircraft Carriers, and MRO activities is consistently increasing.
India has made significant strides in the field of defence exports, with recent exports of BrahMos missile to the Philippines and growing interest from countries such as the UAE.
India's defence exports are expected to continue to rise in the next two years, as the country expands its "Make for the world" initiative, rather than just "Make in India".
