Another Accused Arrested from Punjab for Hoisting Khalistani Flags Outside Himachal Assembly Gate

Khalistani Flag Incident: Another accused of planting the Khalistani flags in Himachal Pradesh Assembly has been arrested from Punjab. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur himself has given this information by tweeting.

He said on Twitter that every Himachali is united against the forces dividing the country. Earlier on Wednesday, Harvir Singh of Punjab was arrested in this case. At the same time, the second accused arrested on Friday has been identified as Vanit Singh.

Khalistani Flag Incident: Tweet of Jai Ram Thakur

CM of HP Jai Ram Thakur tweeted, 'The other person who put up Khalistani flags in Dharamshala and wrote the slogan on the wall has also been arrested from Punjab. Every Himachal citizen is united against the forces dividing the country. Bharat Mata ki Jai, Jai Hind, Jai Himachal.'

Khalistani Flag Incident: Statement of Rupnagar SSP Dr Sandeep Garg

Rupnagar SSP Dr Sandeep Garg said, “In a joint raid with Police of Himachal Pradesh, we have arrested a resident of Morinda for writing pro-Khalistan flags and slogans on the wall of Himachal Assembly Gate in Dharamshala.”

Rupnagar further said “during the interrogation, the accused also revealed that he and his accomplice had set up Khalistani banners outside our office (Mini Secretariat Complex) in Ropar, Punjab, on April 13.”

The accused have been handed over to custody of Himachal Police. The accused will be brought back to Ropar on a protection warrant. His other accomplice has been identified and will be arrested soon.
