Upasana Sharma, dietician head of Max Hospital, says that research done on coffee has shown that if a healthy person consumes coffee in moderation, it reduces the chances of diabetes in that person. But if a person is already diabetic, then the use of coffee can lower his blood sugar level.

It believes that people with diabetes should avoid coffee. Such people can use decaffeinated coffee without sugar. Several studies suggest that drinking coffee can reduce the risk of developing diabetes.

However, if someone already has diabetes, its effect may vary from person to person. Some people can have a positive effect, while in others it can increase the level of blood sugar. Actually, it also depends on the amount of caffeine consumed. If someone's blood sugar level is already out of control, then such people should reduce caffeine intake. Especially with sugar and cream. Consumption of caffeine in moderation can be healthy for diabetes patients.
