The Kejriwal government may exempt two-wheelers in the Odd-Even scheme starting in Delhi next month. The traffic department has given this advice to the Delhi government. However, the penalty amount can be increased. The traffic department had suggested that the two-wheeler vehicles should be exempted in the Odd-Even scheme starting from November 4-15. Also, the department has advised that the penalty for violation of this scheme should be increased from Rs 2,000 to Rs 4,000. Under the new motor vehicle act, it should be 20 thousand but the chances of this happening are less.

 Women are also exempted this time, Divyang is also out

Delhi government has already announced exemption to women under this scheme. This scheme is being brought in Delhi to deal with pollution after Diwali. Private CNG vehicles will also be banned during this period. Please tell that in two odd-evens implemented earlier, CNG vehicles were exempted. This time it has been cited as the reason for not giving exemption. However, Disabled people are relieved from the scheme.

 Women discounts are with some condition

In Odd-Even, women will be exempted, the vehicle which the woman alone is driving will be exempted. Apart from this, if all the passengers in the car will be women or if there is a child up to 12 years with the woman then she will be exempted.

Private CNG vehicles are not exempt-

 This time private CNG vehicles will not be exempted. This will not be applicable to public transport vehicles such as buses, taxis, autos. Kejriwal had said that private CNG cars were exempted in the last two odd-evens but it was found that the stickers given were misused.

Delhi government had already made a hint to give exemption to two-wheelers.

Arvind Kejriwal had said in a press conference that his government wants to install odd-Even on two-wheelers but this is not possible. Delhi CM had said that the number of two-wheelers is so high that public transport will not be able to bear its burden.
