The adventure game in Beed is about to add another new chapter in the history of paragliding. National Paragliding School will soon open in Beed to promote sports at National and international level. School and foreign pilots who wish to learn paragliding will be trained in the school. On completion of training, the pilot will be issued a certificate under the Government of India.

The land acquisition for the proposed school under the state tourism department has been completed in collaboration with the local administration and the Beed Panchayat. Its work is going to start soon. The National Paragliding School in Beed was announced by the Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh at the conclusion of the first World Cup held in 2015 with the efforts of former minister Sudhir Sharma, but the matter was pending due to lack of sufficient land for the school.

Under the aegis of the State Tourism Department, the Central Government has sanctioned an amount of 9 crores under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. The Valley will become internationally renowned with the introduction of the first school of its kind in the country.

Meanwhile, SDM Chitra Nanta said that the documents of the proposed land for the school have been prepared. District Tourism Officer Sunayna Sharma said that the work has been allotted. Work is expected to start this month.
