Delhi Police on High Alert after getting input of Security Threat
Delhi Police is on high alert after intelligence agencies received a security threat alert on a terror attack. New Delhi DCP Deepak Yadav told news agency ANI on Thursday that the Delhi Police has received security threat inputs from intelligence agencies on the terrorist attack, since then the police is on high alert. Also, he said that the security of public places like markets and malls has been beefed up after receiving inputs of security threats. The police are also adopting other security measures.
Police running a special operation for security
The police officer said that in the capital Delhi, there is always vigilance regarding security, but on occasions like the festive season, August 15 and January 26, the Delhi Police is very vigilant and runs its special campaign.
Verification of renters
The DCP said that under a special operation, the police are verifying the people living in rent in the capital. Other security measures have also been taken. All officers are active in all areas. Also, Police patrolling and investigation have been increased in the areas. Vehicles are being searched.
Pakistani terrorist arrested
Delhi Police is very alert and alert after the arrest of Pakistani terrorist Ashraf from the Ramesh Park area of Delhi. She does not want to leave any stone unturned to protect the capital. Police have recovered AK 47 rifle, live cartridges, pistol, hand grenades,s and forged documents from him.
Ashraf used to work as a sleeper cell
Ashraf has told during interrogation that Pakistani intelligence agency ISI got him infiltrated into India. However, he entered India through Bangladesh and has lived in UP, Jammu and Kashmir. Ashraf says that he used to work as a sleeper cell. He was entrusted with the responsibility of providing logistic support to the terrorists coming to Delhi.
