Indian Women’s Hockey Team Cancels China Tour due to Coronavirus

The impact of the coronavirus is seen on the games and all the events held there have been canceled and many countries have also refused to participate in the tournaments held in China. In this episode, the Indian women's hockey team has also canceled a tour of China due to coronavirus.

The Indian women's hockey team was scheduled to visit China from March 14 to 25, but the tour was canceled due to the impact of the coronavirus. Now, Hockey India faces the tough challenge of organizing an alternative tour to prepare for the Olympics. After the cancellation of the tour to China, the captain of the Indian women's hockey team, Rani Rampal, said that we had to go to China, but due to the conditions that have been caused by the coronavirus, the tour has to be canceled. Many other teams are also not available as they are playing Pro Hockey League. She said that Hockey India and our coaches are arranging that we play against a big team because it is necessary to play big teams for the preparation of the Olympics.

A large number of people have died due to Coronavirus infection in China, ten thousand people are suffering from it. Apart from this, people living in many other countries have also become infected with this virus. The Indian government had airlifted its citizens residing in China a few days ago by special aircraft, some of which were found to be infected and are under strict surveillance.
