The corona era has brought opportunities in disaster for products claiming to increase immunity. All the sales records are being broken and it is expected that the market of immunity booster products will be Rs 34.5 crore by 2026.

The term immunity has been widely discussed since the first wave of the Corona epidemic. Actually, since people have come to know that strong immunity gives protection from disease, immunity booster product has got flooded in the market. In the epidemic period, in view of the demand of customers, more than one product was introduced in the market. The sale of vitamin C pills, Chyawanprash, decoction, zinc, vitamin D supplements, has broken past previous records.

If you look at the figures of the pill or supplements, it is found that in the month of October last year, zinc sold Rs 50 crore. Indians started using every product that claimed immunity. According to industry body Assocham, during the pandemic period, annual sales of vitamin C tablets increased by 23 per cent to 1267 crore. If this is the trend of the market, then by 2026, the market of immunity booster product in India will become 34.5 crores.

According to a research, the increase in per capita income and the increase of middle class and urban population is also increasing the demand for immunity boosting products. Lack of nutrients and fitness resulting from busy lifestyle are also promoting immunity enhancing products across the country. The corona epidemic has created a new consumer trend in health and well-being. Experts are also surprised by the sudden flood of home remedies in India during the second wave.
