Lok Sabha had 311 Votes in Favor of the Citizenship Bill and 80 Votes in the Opposition

The path of citizenship in India is being prepared for non-Muslim refugees coming from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh. From the introduction of the bill to the passage of it, the BJP and allies as well as some non-national parties passed it with a big majority of 311 votes as against 80 in the midst of fierce opposition and heated atmosphere of the opposition. Shiv Sena, BJD and YSR Congress supported the bill.

At present, the Lok Sabha is voting on the amendment, division of votes on the Citizenship Amendment Bill. Amit Shah said, I want to make it clear once again through this House to the whole country that there is a fundamental difference between an intruder and a refugee. No need to add NRC and citizenship bill.

Amit Shah said, a lot of temples were demolished in these countries. There were about 2 lakh Hindus and Sikhs in Afghanistan by 1992 and by 2018 they were reduced to just 500. The whole country had seen that the religious places were demolished. The grand statue of Lord Buddha was broken with cannon shells. Where do these minorities go in such a situation?

According to a 2014 Amit Shah report, 1 thousand girls were forcibly converted in Pakistan. According to the UNHRC report, now only 20 religious places of other religions are left in Pakistan.

Amit Shah said, no Punjabi, Bihari, Marwari, Odisha people or any resident will be called an intruder. The original inhabitants of India have the basic right to live here, no one has to worry.

Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) MP PK Kunhalikutty has given an adjournment motion notice opposing the introduction of Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB), 2019 in the Lok Sabha. The citizenship amendment bill excludes the Muslim community of Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh from the central government. This is opposed by the opposition.

Significantly, in the Citizenship Amendment Bill, the government made a provision of granting citizenship of India to people of Hindu, Buddhist, Jain, Sikh, Parsi and Christian community who are victims of religious discrimination and persecution in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh. has gone. It does not include the Muslim community. All opposition parties, including the Congress, say that the Indian Constitution does not allow such discrimination on the basis of religion.
