Ranveer Tanwar

Army chief Bipin Rawat has said that if Pakistan wants to stay with India then it will have to make itself a secular country. Rawat said that Pakistan has made itself an Islamic country. Bipin Rawat said We are a secular country, if they want to become like a secular country like us, then they have an opportunity.

The army chief told that Pakistan tells us that we will take a step and it will take it. But there is a paradox in what he is saying. He said that the first step should be in a positive way on their behalf. We will see if that step is affecting the ground. By then our country will have a clear policy – terror and dialogue cannot go together.

At the same time, Bipin Rawat said that there will be an increase in the role of women in the Armed Forces. We have not yet been included in the front line fight. Western countries are more open. Boys and girls are working together here in big cities, but people in the army do not come from big cities only. He said that it will be beneficial to keep female officers in areas such as language interpreter, military diplomacy.
