Anshika Agarwal

The team of four-time champion Chennai Super Kings will undergo some changes following the IPL 2022 super auction. Although some new players have joined this squad, the effort put out by this team during the auction was to reconnect with their former members and appear successful in doing so. CSK was able to sign Deepak Chahar, Robin Uthappa, Dwayne Bravo, and Ambati Rayudu during the auction, all of whom had previously played for them.

CSK showed faith in quick bowler...

For the auction, CSK had already retained all-rounders Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni, Moeen Ali, and Rituraj Gaikwad. CSK also included KM Asif and Tushar Deshpande in this auction. CSK paid 2 crores for Robin Uthappa, 4.4 crores for Dwayne Bravo, 6.75 crores for Ambati Rayudu, and Rs 14 crores for the fast bowling all-rounder. CSK showed faith in quick bowler Chris Jordan, paying 3.60 crores for him despite his base price of 2 crores. Deepak Chahar was CSK's most expensive player this season, while Ambati Rayudu was second.
