“The Body” Trailer is Out, Watch it!!!

Harshita Sharma

Rishi Kapoor is back in one more interesting role — that of a cop in a crime thriller, The Body. The trailer of the film featuring Emraan Hashmi, Sobhita Dhulipala and Vedhika, known for her work in South Indian movies, is out and guarantees a decent dose of thrill and suspense though the story looks predictable.

The Body spins around a cop's search for a body gone missing from a morgue. Emraan plays a professor and the director of a laboratory, run by his wife Maya (Sobhita). He gets himself the prime suspect after Maya is accepted to be killed however her body vanishes from the mortuary. Emraan's character has been cheating his better half with another lady, played by Vedhika. Investing in the case is an aging police officer, played by Rishi Kapoor.

The last scene in the trailer has the most extreme effect as Emraan attempts to flush a piece of paper with 'I love you Jaan' composed over it. Be that as it may, since there is no water to flush it out as the police come searching for him, he takes out the paper from the toilet and swallows it. The film has been made under the banner of Viacom18 Studios and Azure Entertainment. It is planned to release on December 13.

The Body based on the 2012 Spanish film by a similar name. The film denotes the debut of Malayalam movie producer, Jeethu Joseph in Bollywood. He's best known for Mohanlal-starrer, Drishyam, which was remade in four Indian languages and is one of the first two grossing Malayalam highlight movies ever.

Rishi was most recently seen in Jhootha Kahin Ka which released in July this year. He returned after his cancer treatment in New York in September and is relied upon to continue work soon. Emraan and Sobhita recently highlighted in the web series, Bard of Blood, produced by Shah Rukh Khan for Netflix.
