Amitabh Bachchan, who is Bollywood's veteran actor and the superhero of the century, is celebrating his 79th birthday this year. Born on 11 October 1942 in Allahabad (now Prayagraj), Big B has achieved a great position in his career. While most of the heroes of his age now stay away from the film screen, Amitabh is earning a name not only on the big screen but also in the TV world. At the same time, he is also very active on social media and keeps pace with the times.

Amitabh's post

Amitabh recently shared a post regarding his birthday and gave a very funny caption. However, he made a mistake in this which his daughter corrected. Big B wrote, 'walking into the 80th'. His daughter Shweta corrected this mistake in the comment section.

Shweta Bachchan Nanda told Amitabh in the comment section that this year is his 79th birthday and not 80. Actually, Amitabh thought that this year he is going to celebrate his 80th birthday and hence he shared such a post, while his daughter told him that he still has one more year to step into the 80s, this year he is celebrating his 79th birthday.

In his blog, Amitabh thanked all the fans and well-wishers. He wrote, 'My heart which is filled with all these greetings, I do not understand how to thank you all, it is not easy to thank all of you one by one but I know that you understand me and this love is enough'.

Bollywood wished Big B on his birthday…

Big B also received many congratulations from the stars on the occasion of his birthday. His granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda bowed to him with folded hands, Ranveer Singh wrote – 'Gangster'. Bhumi Pednekar wrote – 'Swag Happy Birthday Sir'. Along with this, the fans also congratulated him fiercely and showered a lot of love on his post.

Talking about the work front, these days he is hosting KBC 13, and the audience loves this game show. Apart from this, Amitabh will be seen in the films 'Brahmastra', 'Jhund' and 'Mayday'. Amitabh was last seen in the film 'Chehre'. However, this film was not much liked by the audience.
