Alia Bhatt to Star with Ranbir Kapoor & Yash in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana Instead of Deepika Padukone
Many people have speculated about Nitesh Tiwari's huge Ramayana project. According to sources, the film was postponed owing to uncertainties.
The Hindi film industry is preparing for a new adaptation of the epic Ramayana, featuring renowned actors Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Yash. It has been reported that Ranbir Kapoor will portray the character of Lord Ram, while Alia Bhatt has been confirmed to play the role of Sita.
Deepika Padukone had previously been mentioned as a possible female lead. Ravana's casting has yet to be determined. However, Yash's name has also been mentioned during the conversations.
"Yash has yet to sign, but producer Madhu is confident that Yash will be a part of the film."

According to a source, once the minor issues are resolved, Nitesh and Madhu will finalize things with Yash. However, previous reports mentioned that Sai Pallavi was approached for the role of Sita, but there has been no official confirmation regarding this matter.
The excitement surrounding the film began on June 7 when Alia was seen outside Nitesh Tiwari's office. After the announcements, fans expressed their eagerness for the film's release.
However, an official announcement regarding the film is anticipated to be made during Diwali. The shooting for the film is scheduled to commence in December.
Alia was the original choice for Ramayana, but the dates couldn't work out due to a multitude of factors at the time.
Despite facing several delays, Nitesh and producer Madhu Mantena have reverted to their initial choice for the actress, who is thrilled to portray a character that has the potential to leave a lasting impact on her career.
Alia’s upcoming projects
In terms of her professional commitments, Alia Bhatt has an array of exciting projects on the horizon. Her upcoming ventures include Karan Johar's film "Rocky aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani," in which she will be sharing the screen with Ranveer Singh.
Aside from these ventures, Alia will co-star with Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif in Farhan Akhtar's road trip film Jee Le Zaraa.
