Strategy for Peaceful Voting in Inter-State Coordination Meeting: Jharkhand

Kolhan's DIG convened an inter-state coordination meeting on Saturday to ensure peaceful voting during the Jharkhand assembly elections. Apart from Jharkhand, police officers from Odisha and West Bengal were present. In this meeting a strategy was made to run a joint operation against the Naxalites.

In addition, it was agreed to identify border check posts and nakas, identify miscreants, conduct joint raids and investigation operations against warrantees and criminals, take joint action against illegal liquor, share information timely. Nodal officers have been appointed in each district for real-time information sharing.

In the meeting held in Jamshedpur, DIG Kuldeep Divedvi of Kolhan, DIG Amol Homkar of Ranchi, SSP of Jamshedpur besides SP of Khunti, Seraikela and Simdega were present. SPs of Rourkela, Sundergarh, Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar of Odisha were also present in this meeting. Commandants of 193, 196, 197, 174 and 60 battalions of CRPF besides the SPs of Jhargram and Purulia from West Bengal also attended the meeting.
