No party has got a majority in the second parliamentary election in Israel in five months. The Likud party of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been stopped by the main opposition party on par. Both parties have got 32–32 seats. This could shock Netanyahu's hopes of becoming prime minister for the fifth time. Elections were held on Tuesday for a 120-member parliament in Israel.

According to the reports, Netanyahu's Likud Party and the main opposition blue and white are at par with the 90 percent ballot count. The secular Yizrayal Beiteinu party has nine seats in its account. With so many seats, the importance of this party's leader Avigdor Lieberman has increased. The Arab-Israeli coalition ranks third with 12 seats. The rest of the seats are going to other small parties.

Netanyahu has not given up hope of becoming prime minister for the fifth time by forming a coalition government. At the party headquarters, he said by his supporters, 'We will form a strong Jewish government. I said that there will be a strong election. We are still waiting for the final election results.

Former army chief and Blue and White Party leader Benny Gentz said on Wednesday, the results showed that Netanyahu had lost. Our mission is complete. He also claimed that he would work to form a coalition government.
