Jaipur: ATM Cash Loot in Shahpura; Robbers ran away with Rs.38 Lakh

In the Shahpura area of ​​Jaipur, miscreants set fire to an ATM of SBI Bank filled with Rs 42 lakhs late on Monday night. The miscreants had come to carry out the robbery. When the ATM was not successful in the robbery, he tried to break the ATM with a gas cutter. During this, about 3 lakh rupees notes kept in it were burnt to ashes. At the same time, 38 lakh rupees left behind escaped after looting. Most of these notes were 200, 500, 2000 rupees. A day before the incident, 42 lakh rupees were deposited in the ATM. On coming to know about the incident on Tuesday, Shahpura police station reached the spot. After conducting a thorough investigation on the spot, gathered information from the people around. How many people were involved in the crime at the moment? It is not known.

ATM booth to hide their identity

Shahpura police station was informed by the bank management and called to the spot. No one arrived till Tuesday afternoon. The bank management has also not filed the report yet. Initially, an inter-state gang is likely to be involved in the incident. The robbers also broke two CCTVs installed in the ATM booth to hide their identity. There was also no security guard at this ATM. On this, the miscreants targeted the ATM after raiding.

According to the information, there is an ATM of the State Bank of India (SBI) in Nathawala village on Ajitgarh State Highway in the Shahpura police station area. On Tuesday, people living in the village saw the ATM installed at the bus stand in a burnt condition. Preliminary investigation revealed that the incident took place around 2 pm on Monday night.

According to ASP Ramkumar Kaswan, on Monday itself, the bank management had put Rs 42 lakh notes in the ATM. Of these, 1 lakh rupees were withdrawn by the consumers. The police suspect that a local person also has a role in the gang. It was known to put lakhs of rupees in the Automated teller machine on Monday itself. Police are scanning the footage on the state highway and around the spot.
