Pakistan Again Exposed, Accused of Smuggling Masks Sent to SAARC Discussion on Coronavirus

PM Modi spoke with SAARC countries yesterday through video conferencing to form a common strategy on the coronavirus. In this meeting, Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan's health advisor Dr. Zafar Mirza, attended. Now the news has come that in Pakistan, Zafar Mirza has been accused of black marketing of two crore masks. Pakistan's Federal Investigative Agency has also started an investigation against Mirza. The FI has been asked to complete the investigation in 15 days.

The representative of Pakistan, who was present for a common discussion on the coronavirus, is himself facing allegations of black marketing. According to the Pakistani media, Zafar Mirza is accused of smuggling 20 million masks and Mirza is also being prosecuted for this.

The Prime Minister's complaint was filed against Zafar Mirza by the Young Pharmacists Association Secretary General, Dr. Furqan Ibrahim. According to the complainant, Zafar Mirza smuggled the mask with the connivance of Ghazanfar Ali Khan, Deputy director of the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP).

It is important to note that after the cases of coronavirus were reported in the country, the demand for masks reduced their market. There are only a few stores that are selling masks at the moment and these stores are also selling these masks at high prices.
