Indian Migrants from 65 Countries want to Return Goa

Four thousand people from Goa, residing in 65 countries around the world, have registered themselves on the Goa NRI Commission portal with a desire to return home amidst the ongoing lockdown for the prevention of corona virus. State NRI Commissioner Narendra Savarkar gave this information on Wednesday.

Savarkar said that the NRI Commission of the state has shared this data with the Ministry of External Affairs. The BJP leader said that about four thousand people have registered themselves on the Goa NRI portal. This portal was launched by the Commission. All these migrants are in 65 countries of the world, most of them from West Asia and Britain.

The Goa NRI Commission has urged the Ministry of External Affairs to take steps towards bringing back the people of Goa trapped abroad.
